Tour Plan
- After your Arrival in Salalah, Meet \/Greet and transfer to Hotel.
- Rest of the day for leisure and relax on the beach
- Overnight at Salalah.
- In the morning discover Eastern Dhofar \u2013 The Frankincense Trail. We stop at Ayn Razat, located at the foot of the Qara Mountains, with its natural springs, rich plants, and flowers.
- Continue up the mountains, home of the Jebalis and their large herds of camel and cattle
- Proceed to Mirbat, the former trading place for horses, and stroll around the old part of the town to admire the beautiful architecture and the old Dhofari houses. While returning to Salalah we stop at Taqa\u2019s wonderful white sandy beach.
- In the afternoon explore Western Dhofar \u2013 Wonders of Nature. Drive across the impressive Qara Mountains and head south where the mountains turn lush green to reach Hiob\u2019s Tomb, visited by Islamic pilgrims. We stop at frankincense trees and a bird sanctuary before reaching Mughsayl Beach, well-known for its blow holes, a natural wonder where the sea bursts up dramatically in regular intervals during high tide.
- Return to Salalah town and enjoy dinner in a typ
- Our experienced tour guides will collect you from hotel taking you up the Green Line Salalah to Muscat Road, heading up into the mountains. First stop will be take in the breathtaking views of Wadi Nahiz at the base of the mountain ravine.
- From here you will travel further into the mountains passing the spectacular Ragkot Valley famed for its rare and expensive honey, before arriving at Thumrayt you will take a detour to see Wadi Dowka, a vast plane littered with Frankincense Trees. After passing through the town of Thumrayt you will leave the main road and travel on the old Frankincense Trail towards Shisr. Here you can find the ancient remains dating from the Iron Age, discovered by satellite technology, which are reputed to be the fabled LOST CITY OF UBAR.
- After a guided tour around the remains and a visit to the attached museum the journey will continue to the Bedouin camp site at Hadhef, from here you will travel along the Wadi Hadhef into the sand dune desert where you may
